Devil's Third: The DoA-maker strikes back.

Devil's Third

All the hate about Itagaki's person lately and mostly amongst Team Ninja interns led to the only solution for both partys: the split. As a free game developer with something he himself calls visions and something we call fetish for boobs and violence he founded a new studio called Valhalla Game Studios. Their first game, the master most recently revealed at LA's E3 gaming expo.

What would you say to naming your own price - even just 1 penny - for 5 games?

What if I then said the proceeds were split between the developers of those games and the charity Child's Play, and you could choose what percentage of your contribution goes to each?

Just Cause 2: 15 Reasons You Need To Play It

Just Cause 2 is an absolutely ridiculous game. Ridiculous in it’s sheer size, in it’s attitude, and in the main character’s ability to summon parachutes from seemingly out of nowhere. It’s also ridiculously fun. I’ve created a list of 15 things that make Just Cause 2 worth playing. Read them after the break.

Gears Of War 3 - coming April 2011

Gears Of War 3

Gears Of War, the Xbox 360 exclusive 3rd person action video game series, will conclude (?) with the 3rd game in the trilogy in April 2011. A video trailer has been released, and as you can see, the Locust aren't the only things to worry about anymore. Besides that, seems like Mark and Dom are joined by a new female soldier. Can she be chain sawed in half like the rest of the guys? Gameplay details are scarce at the moment, but one thing confirmed by Cliff Bleszinski (game lead designer) himself is 4 player campaign co-op.

I'm sure more will be revealed at this years E3. Keep your eyes (and typing fingers!) here for more news as it develops!

Demon's Souls finally getting a European release

After a seemingly endless wait and months of speculation and doubt, Demon's Souls is finally getting a European release, courtesy of Namco Bandai.

For those not already familiar with the game, Demon's Souls is a dark fantasy RPG set in the Kingdom of Boletaria, a land overrun by - you've guessed it - demons. What sets this apart from other games, however, particularly in the modern gaming landscape, is that it's rock hard.

Completing this game is somewhat of a rite of passage for a gamer, and an incredibly satisfying one at that. Make no mistake though: on the journey to that end screen, you will die. A lot.

However, the game is always fair, and each death is a learning experience. Unlike so many modern games, Demon's Souls actually challenges you to become a better gamer in order to complete it, rather than just memorising enemy patterns...and finding a bigger gun.

More importantly though, it's great fun. If you own a PS3, you owe it to yourself to buy this game.  You won't regret it.

The release date is currently unknown, with different online retailers reporting different dates, but Namco Bandai are expected to make an official announcement tomorrow. MarioKart meets Lego Vs Duplo in the sense of true kindergarten sand-box-playing

ModNation Racers

After Little Big Planet the Sony PlayStation 3 gets another possible hit for friends of modding and constructing stuff by theirselves. Just like every child did it in their kindergarden-years with Lego and the likes or building sand castles this game seemingly lets you play around with every thing game-play-worthy. You can basically make everything in the way you would like it to be... Racing-tracks, characters, and cars. If the racing plays as well as the classic MarioKart games or like the latest SEGA-funracer, with MODNATION RACERS we should get a game with lots of replay-value and party-ability.

Let's take a look what the creators from Insomniac have to tell us about the game's construction features. You'll find the first video of a series of clips right here.

  • The Haiti quake...how you can help others in this tragedy

    haiti earthquake 2010

As most of you already know, Haiti was hit with a massive earthquake recently that ravaged most of the island's capital and surrounding areas. Many have died, and even more are in desperate need of help.

We as gamers can do something about it. The easiest way would be to text the word "HAITI" (minus the quotes) to 90999 via your mobile phone. $10 will appear on your phone bill as a donation to the American Red Cross towards the Haiti relief efforts.

Read about more ways you can help after the break.

You can also donate via iTunes: (clicking link will open iTunes) https://buy.itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZFinance.woa/wa/buyCharityGiftW...

On Wednesday and Thursday (January 20 & 21, respectively), Bungie is encouraging Halo 3 and Halo 3: ODST players to don a Haitian-relief emblem in game, and will contribute up to $77,000 to the cause depending on the number who participate. A special T-shirt also is for sale in the Bungie store, the proceeds of which will go to recovery efforts through the American Red Cross.
