I mentioned this series before in FAP 08 part deux, and after watching the first episode, I'm in love. Michiko is sexy Brazillian badass - shooting down helicopters, robbing banks and tearing up the countryside on her teal super-scooter. WIN. Surprisingly, there seems to be an interesting story brewin' as the two characters are drawn together. Can't wait for episode 2.
Don't miss this series. It's gonna be good. I can feel it. Click here for an HD episode 1 gallery.

GONZO's latest mech action series has landed, and the first episode is quite a ride. Take your standard, loser schoolboy and give him the power to control a giant mecha. Is this another EVA clone? Can Linebarrels offer something entirely new and refreshing? Episode one holds some exciting surprises.

The Fall anime is starting to flow, and so will our impressions of the inaugural episodes of the series we're keeping an eye on this season. Not long ago, the first season of Rosario to Vampire introduced a harem school-life comedy with a twist: the students are all monsters. Well, it's back for another season and I couldn't be happier. How does the first episode rate? Read on.

With the Fall anime season drawing near, we thought we'd give a rundown on the ones to watch! Inside FAP, you'll find images and trailers and official site links to 13 of the most promising anime airing in the next few weeks. Another new summer anime, and the third season of popular fantasy/harem/magic school series Zero no Tsukaima continues to be one of my favorites. This season, a new character (hinted at in the previous season), Tiffania, joins the cast and innocently causes trouble with her giant boobs. Excellent.

Got another gallery for you tonight, this time Sekirei episode 02. Quite a few superscreens in this batch, but due to all the insane nudity in this ep the fog is out in full force. Guess we'll have to wait for the DVD release to get the full picture. Bah.

Ahh, summer anime season is upon us, and finally one of my favorite mangas hits the small screen. To celebrate, I've crafted a Sekirei episode 1 gallery that you can enjoy at your leisure here.
An episode 2 gallery is on the way. Enjoy!

One of my favorite ecchi mangas ever (I have the entire thing on my iPod touch) has been rumored to be adapted for an anime release for quite some time. I can't tell you how happy I am that it is now official, thanks to the launching of the Sekirei TV Official Site.
My only concern is that it will be tamed-down for TV (the manga has lots of nudity) but I'm sure that there will be plenty of haremtastic service as well as Ikkitousen-esque battles where punches and kicks happen to destroy clothing upon contact. Sweet.
I can't wait. I mean, seriously. Look at the size of them.
Wanna check out the manga? Google is your friend.

Ahh, my old friends Deunan and Briareos. I've been witness to their tragic love story since 1988, when Masamune Shirow's manga became an OVA. Balancing action with politics, Appleseed's vision of a post-apocalyptic earth is as intriguing as it is dangerous. It has always walked the line between lengthly bureaucratic extrapolation and adrenaline-fuled mech mayhem. It's a tasty mix in my opinion, like peanut butter & chocolate. Yes, I am comparing Appleseed to a Peanut Butter Cup.
The latest incarnation of the series is Appleseed: Ex Machina. A full-length CG feature film produced by John Woo (cue ridiculously awesome gunplay here) and directed by prolific mech designer Shinji Aramaki. Also of note is the costume designer, Miucchia Prada, who's last name you might recognize. I must say she has a way with shiny leather goods.
