Well, for the guys at No Mutants Allowed, the apocalypse may very well be upon us. Meanwhile, the rest of us are enjoying Fallout 3. If you aren’t, you should be, and I plan on telling you why. Read on if you’re open minded and you want to play a game that will change how you look at both at the modern FPS, the western RPG, and maybe the way you play games as a whole.
Fallout 3, as far as a unpurist heathen like my myself can tell, is both like the previous Fallouts and in many ways is not. I can’t be sure what a hardcore fan of the previous games exactly wants, so I can only innocently assume that some will enjoy the game for what it is, or shun it for being different. The rest of the review is going to be on the basis that this is the only game I’ve played in the Fallout universe, and I’m judging it on it’s own merits, not anyone or anything else’s.

It was around this time of year, four years ago that Peter Molyneux and Lionhead Studios introduced us to the world of Fable. Four years since I eagerly placed the game into my big black Xbox and jumped into the sandbox world of Albion. There I lived, loved and fought as a hero. Kicking chickens, marrying multiple women and slaying vicious Balverines to my heart's content. I loved the first Fable and I couldn't wait to dig into the second.
